New President

The 2010 Annual Meeting was held Sunday evening at Gowan Brae Golf Club. At the meeting it was announced that Kathy Grebenc will be the first female President of Gowan Brae in its 52 year history. Kathy has served on the Board previously. She will take over from outgoing President Tim Oconnell after his two year term came to a close.

Pat Edwards to be Inducted to Bathurst Sports Hall of Fame

On Saturday, November 13th our own Pat Edwards from Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club will be inducted into the Bathurst Sports Hall of Fame. We are asking all our members to come out for the presentation of this prestigious award in honoring Pat for her life long contribution to Golf and Figure Skating. Tickets are available at the K.C. Irving Regional Center.

Ladies win and Men finish second- North Shore Golf Tournament

Restigouche men walked off with the North Shore Tropy for 2010. Gowan Brae finished second after winning the evnt in 2009. The Gowan Brae Ladies were successful in defending the Ladies trophy as they defeated teams from Restigouche, Pokemouche, Tabusintac and Miramchi. The team events were held Sunday at the Restigouche Golf Club.
